Adult Literacy

Literacy Volunteers-Campbell County Public Library (LV-CCPL) is a volunteer-driven, adult literacy program, which has served the needs of low-literacy and limited-English students since 1988. With over 30 years of operation, we continue to strive to meet the learning needs of adult population in and around Campbell County, Va.

Our mission is to provide free, personalized literacy and English language instruction to adults in our community. Our program operates in conjunction with the Campbell County Public Library System, where we are housed and with ACE (Adult & Career Education of Central Virginia). Our four branch libraries in Campbell County (Rustburg, Brookneal, Altavista, and Timbrook) provide private meeting space for tutors and students to meet once per week.

Fundraising

Every day your neighbors courageously come to us asking to learn to read, write, or speak English. Help give LV-CCPL the ability to say, "Yes, we can help!" to everyone who comes through our doors. Please consider donating today!
